Dog Safety and Eligibility Requirements

To ensure the safety and optimal experience for all dogs participating in our adventures, every canine must meet several baseline requirements. First, the health of the entire pack is our priority, which is why all dogs must be current on core vaccinations (including Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, and Bordetella) prior to their first hike. Second, to help promote calm and predictable behavior in group settings, all dogs over the age of one year must be spayed or neutered. Finally, recognizing the inherent safety challenges of wilderness hiking, dogs approved for any off-leash time must demonstrate exceptional control: this means they must have proven remote e-collar training or excellent, reliable, and instant voice recall under heavy distraction, as warranted in our liability agreement. Meeting these standards guarantees a secure, enjoyable, and stress-free experience on the trail for everyone.
